October 2nd sees a significant milestone in my life. On 2nd October 1983 I was ordained to priestly ministry while at that stage still a member of the Church of England. Monday 2nd October 2023 represents the fortieth anniversary of this event.
At 12 noon at St Joseph’s Ripley, I will be offering a Mass that day, the Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels. Parishioners from all churches would be most welcome to attend and stay on to a shared lunch in the hall afterwards. If we all bring a contribution there should be plenty to go round – Fr Michael
